ICAI gives an option of verification and inspection of the answer copies if a student is not happy with the marks awarded. If you feel the same and are sure of your marks increasing, then only apply for the verification/inspection.
Verification of CA Foundation answer copies includes:
- Finding any answers that have to remain unevaluated,
- Checking for any error in the total marks,
- Checking if the marks given inside the answer copy are correctly carried forward on the cover page.
Note: Don’t expect revaluation of answer copies because ICAI does not permit it.
However, you can inspect your answer sheets by yourself.
Process of Verification/Inspection Application
- Login to your account on the ICAI exam website.
- You will see an option for verification of certified copies/inspection on your dashboard. Press on the ‘Apply Now’ button against it.
- A window will appear. You have to check the details and select the papers you want to apply for verification /inspection.
- Also, attach a scanned copy of the handwritten application.
- Click Save and Preview. Once you check all the details are correct, click on Confirm.
- You will proceed to the payment gateway. Make the payment. (Rs. 100 for Verification and Rs. 500 for inspection)
- Once the transaction is successful, you can take a print of the confirmation page for future reference.
The option of verification/inspection has been opened from 9th Feb 2021 to 7th Mar 2021. The new results after verification are released within 6-8 weeks.
